Accreditation status

TDC does not currently claim ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation. Calibration of reference equipment by an accredited laboratory does not make TDC an accredited service provider. Customers requiring accredited field work must confirm the performing organization and its applicable scope before service is accepted.

Define the applicable requirements

For metallic heat treatment, AMS 2750 may form part of the required scope. The applicable revision, customer specifications, equipment classification, sensor arrangement and acceptance criteria must be established for the job. Composite processes may have different requirements and customer flow-downs.

Keep traceability specific

Reference-equipment calibration records, measurement ranges and uncertainty requirements should be reviewed for the intended work. Laboratory services and any subcontracted work are identified and agreed as part of the quotation.

Document the work performed

Reporting requirements may include asset identification, test conditions, reference equipment, measurements, correction factors, acceptance criteria, exceptions and technical review. The quotation defines the deliverables for each engagement.

Discuss your approval requirements early
